Our client had a setup where customers rent motor homes, RVs, and camping sites for peaceful vacations or family time. It was smooth until he stumbled upon the hassle of contacting customers and property owners and maintaining details about a plethora of places and customers. He was quite perplexed about this intensive manual process and wanted to automate the whole process.

Goals and Achievements

Our goal was to develop a full-fledged application like Airbnb for remote location listing and booking services. An interactive and simplified platform for travel enthusiasts and persons owning exotic locations, RVs, and motor homes in Australia.

  • Vendors/Hosts can manage their property details like locations, amenities, terrains, images, charges, guests, etc.

  • Hosts can use booking analytics, request payouts, maintain profiles, and guest feedback.
  • Advance search filters allow users to find their nearby favorite places and book available places.

  • Users can upload media, give feedback, and manage their bookings.
  • Admin can manage vendors, bookings, payout requests, vendor commission, tax, coupons, services, blogs, and menu items.
  • Users and Vendors can only give reviews through mobile applications.

Challenges

  • Remote mapping and adding precise location polygons proved challenging, as most camping sites, RVs, or motor homes are primarily located in remote areas.

  • We had to devise a system to drag & drop the location pin at the right place so guests could reach their destination without any hindrance.

  • We had to address split payment issues. As our proposed solution was catering payments between three parties and according to decided tax and commission, free and fair payment distributions to vendors and admin were challenging.
